Museums Are Back To Business


Good News! Fort Worth Museums are back to business, but things look a little different. We have all the information you need to know about updated hours, virtual tours, and safety guidelines to ensure a fun & safe time at any of these museums.


AMON CARTER MUSEUM OF AMERICAN ART

Admission is free. The experience is priceless. The Amon Carter Museum of American Art explores the diversity and complexity of American creativity through our expansive collection and exciting exhibitions.


The Amon Carter Museum is featuring numerous exhibition reviews like, Culture Shock:

American Artists from Europe, 1913–1953, Puente Nuevo by Justin Favela, and James Surls:

Seven and Seven Flower. Check out their website for details on how long each of these exhibits are open.

Sunday: noon–5 p.m.

Monday: Closed

Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday: 10 a.m.–5 p.m.

Thursday: 10 a.m.–8 p.m.


THE MODERN ART MUSEUM


What can you expect at The Modern? Exhibits like, Mark Bradford: End Papers is currently being shown and will continue through January 10, 2021 and Ruckus Rodeo will be open until August 10, 2020. Their website highlights important updates on reopening procedures like wearing face masks, social distancing, and utilizing sanitizing stations. The Modern is also offering Online Learning Programs, so you can experience the art in the comfort of your own home.

KIMBELL ART MUSEUM

The Kimbell Art Museum is back open! The special exhibition, Flesh and Blood: Italian Masterpieces from the Capodimonte Museum, has been extended through August 2. Visitors will have another opportunity to experience these magnificent Renaissance and Baroque works rarely seen outside of Naples, Italy. On their website they are offering virtual tours of this exhibit, collection updates, as well as information on their new COVID guidelines. Here are some safety tips you can follow when visiting the museum:

NATIONAL COWGIRL MUSEUM


The National Cowgirl Museum and Hall of Fame honors and celebrates women, past and present, whose lives exemplify the courage, resilience and independence that helped shape the West, and fosters an appreciation of the ideals and spirit of self-reliance they inspire.

The current exhibit remains as Laura Wilson: Looking West along with Kit Moncrief Galleries and It’s Never Just a Horse™ exhibition. There are also different virtual features like at home arts and crafts with the Craft Coral and virtual story readings with Cowgirl Museum Story Time.
