Camp Bowie Cultural District Guide




With 9 world-class museums and art galleries in Camp Bowie, there is truly something for everyone. If you’re looking for something that the whole family can enjoy, take a day and discover one of our Camp Bowie District museums. 


Admission is free. The experience is priceless. The Amon Carter Museum of American Art explores the diversity and complexity of American creativity through its expansive collection and exciting exhibitions. The Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth is a leader in collecting, showing and interpreting art  from  the 1940s  to the present. In addition to 53,000 square feet of soaring, light-filled gallery space and landscaped grounds  with outdoor sculptures, the museum features a reflecting pond,  theater, education center, gift shop, and  café, creating a thriving  hub  for  our  community  and beyond.   Check out their website for more information on upcoming events.

Founded to “encourage art in Fort Worth and Texas,” The Kimbell has pieces of “definitive excellence” and of “the highest possible aesthetic quality” from all over the world, and it is the perfect place to develop an extreme appreciation for the arts. Today, you can enjoy the 350 piece collection including paintings, sculptures, ceramics, and scrolls. Check out their website for more details.

*Visitors are encouraged to purchase exhibition tickets online; tickets may also be purchased on-site. Members may bypass the ticket line and show their member ID card to enter the special exhibition.

Dedicated to lifelong learning and anchored by our rich collections, the Fort Worth Museum of Science and History engages our diverse community through creative, vibrant programs and exhibits interpreting science and the stories of Texas and the Southwest.
