Romance is in the air on Camp Bowie Boulevard, and how could it not be with long summer days and warm nights finally here. Date nights are essential for keeping that spark alive, and lucky for Camp Bowie locals, you don't have to travel far to attend some of the best restaurants and entertainment spots in Fort Worth! So grab your partner and let's head out for a night on the bricks! Whether you're feeling classy or sassy tonight, The Boulevard is the place to be.
DRINKS
CLASSY: Before you get dressed in your favorite little black dress, stop by Winslow’s Wine Cellar for the finest selection of bubbles on The Boulevard. Pick up a bottle to pop and sip on before heading out to dinner. Chocolate strawberries anyone?
SASSY: First things first, what are we drinking? Chicotsky's Liquor Store has all you need and more to make a perfect summer cocktail before a night out on the town. Looking to dine in with a good drink? You can't go wrong with The Original Mexican Eats Cafe's famous margaritas or a flight of beers at Wild Acre! STARTERS
CLASSY: Before every great meal there is an even better appetizer to kick off the night. We are partial to the Italian flare in Campisi’s delicious fresh bruschetta or Winslow's Wine Cafe's truffle macaroni and cheese. In the mood for something lighter? Head over to Little Lilly Sushi for some fresh sashimi and sushi!
SASSY: Looking for something a bit more classic and casual? Tokyo Cafe's Tok Fries are calling your name. If a fishy taste isn't your thing, Riscky's BBQ is the perfect place to stop in and share an appetizer of classic chicken wings.
ENTREES
CLASSY: Bella Italia's quality service and authentic dishes make the night a chef's kiss. We recommend the Piccata Al Limone or if you're feeling adventurous, the Ostrich with Green Peppercorns. Not wanting a carb overload? Paris 7th is an upscale restaurant your date will surely be blown away by. We recommend the Beef Bourguignon, which is slowly braised in red wine with mushrooms, pearl onions, carrots, and bacon, served with house-made tagliatelle.
SASSY: You have to stick with the American classic: a burger. With so many burger joints on The Boulevard, it's a tough decision but you can't go wrong with Kincaid's. Or, split a cheesy pizza from Mama's Pizza- they've been in Fort Worth since 1979, and along Camp Bowie Boulevard since 2008!
DESSERT
CLASSY: What's more classy than specialty pie? Head over to Buttermilk Sky Pie to pick up a couple of four-inch individual pies or a nine-inch for sharing. We recommend you go big and try the CLOUD 9, it's their signature take on pie a la mode. They combine a mini pie with a scoop of ice cream so you get pie and ice cream in every bite! SASSY: The best part of date night (besides the person you’re sharing it with) is dessert! Stop by Curly’s to grab your favorite custard. This month's feature flavors are Butter Pecan or Churro, but for chocolate lovers, we recommend the Death by Chocolate Concrete featuring chocolate custard with oreo, chocolate chips, and chocolate syrup. Yum! ACTIVITIES
CLASSY: Enjoy wandering around The Kimbell Art Museum or view collections from The Modern Art Museum, what could be more romantic than admiring beautiful masterpieces together? Or if you’re in the mood for an evening stroll, head over to Berney Park or Veteran's Park and enjoy!
SASSY: The night isn't over yet! Head to Ridglea Theater for some live music, or if you want something a little more wild head, to the Basement Lounge for late-night fun. Look no further for the best signature cocktails in town, we recommend a classic Old Fashioned. Your night is sure to end on a good note lounging in the plush speakeasy.
